DIAMOND CHICHONE AND TAT YEN LINK UP ON QUARENTENA.

Music, they say, transcends boundaries, or in this case, is borderless – a fact expressed even during uncertainties, like the Covid19 pandemic. The current social distancing has seen Kenyan musician Tat Yen collaborate with Mozambican newcomer, Diamond Chichone Moz on a singly aptly titled Quarentena.

Done in 6 distinctive languages; Portuguese, Shona, Dholuo, Swahili, Sheng and English, Quarentena is an artistic showcase of what happens when linguistic unity and cultural passion collide in a rhythmic mashup – music to your ears, literally.

The Hip Hop record is as result of cross-border partnership between Project Matimba (Mozambique) and Juogi Nation (Kenya), the two umbrellas housing both artists.
Executively produced by The Dogg Prd, Quarentena also boasts of sleek touches from Kenyan production powerhouse, Batoz Music, where Tat Yen’s pieces were arranged.

Quarentena was written by Diamond Chichone Moz and Tat Yen, to share their respective experiences during the lockdown.
